  • 1 Never Again

I took the kids on a rainy day, I have been before only recently and the first thing i noticed was how much the price had increased - I wonder if it was because of the summer holidays, as it was several few pounds more expensive. Anyway, the place was heaving and I was advised to order food straight away as the wait time was over an hour - they weren't kidding! In the meantime my kids darted off for fun coming back frequently for drinks - it was muggy outside and no better inside due to no air conditioning so my supply of water went quickly and I bought 3 Jugs of 1.5L squash each costing £1.85. Lunch arrived in stages, had to send one plate back as it was wrong - had to buy crisps and chic bar to replace as couldn't wait another hour. To be fair the pasta was nice, cooked well. I had brought a fresh fruit salad from home, no sooner had I stacked the lunch plates to make room a staff member came over and told me I couldn't consume my own food. I was slightly annoyed as the lunch plates had been sat for over an hour and no staff bothered to clear up, as soon as they see my fruit they suddenly appear! I explained I wanted to give my kids something healthy to which she replied that their cafe sold fruit (dried up satsumas sat next to an array of sweets/chocolate) I pointed out I had just spent £50 that day but she didn't budge. Won't be going again. This place is all about making money.

  • 5 Rugrats

I just wanted to write and say what a fantastic place Rugrats is. I have two children 2.5 and 4 years of age and they absolutely love it and never want to go home. What I love is how different it is from other centres. Its been really well thought out and its got a huge sensory baby area which I have not seen anywhere else. My little girl adored it and was fascinated with the bubble tubes, the music corner with the vibrating floor and the clown board. It had balls which roll down and this held her attention for ages. My little boy loved the trampolines and loves the dressing up costumes in the play house. We find it great value for money as we spend most of the day there - because theres so much for the kids to do. For me, I love the cafe area. The owners appear to have gone to a lot of expense to make the cafe a nice place to sit and have a decent cup of real coffee. And the kids like the food. Theres lots of healthy options for them. This is well worth a visit and I only wish they would do a membership scheme.
