Help for computers and their users. We’ve been working with Macs and PCs since 1996. We can help you with setting up your computer(s), installing broadband, upgrading and troubleshooting. Check your broadband speed

Helping users in the Oxfordshire/Berkshire areas it looks like there are some people getting a raw deal. What's the use of paying for 10 Mb BT Business Broadband if you are only getting 5% of that speed. Sounds ridiculous, but it is true. Test your broadband here. If you fine it is significantly less than you thought - and the culprit is the BT line - consider alternatives. Virgin Media cable, of course, if it is in your area, or increasingly now mobile broadband packages. Don't settle for the BT refrain about being too far from the exchange.If you can get no joy from any of the above, ask your neighbours. See if there is anyone getting a better speed than you, and find out why. Ask BT or your service provider for a rebate, or to be put on a tariff that correctly reflects their performance.Finally log your findings at the site above, and here.

  The aptly named Macwiz turned up in the form of John Walker and set up my new Airbook and installed several pieces of software which needed manufacturer’s help to install. He was friendly & efficient and when I had related problems later he solved them for me using the remote link on the Macwiz website. Certainly my first port of call in a software crisis! Charles
