Direct Route

Just changed over my parcel carrier for domestic business, and was pleasantly surprised by the personable service offered by Direct Route Ltd, and the rates were extremely competetive, which is just what I need in the current climate , would highly recommend to any of my associated suppliers. They also installed a great internet based booking system, so I dont even have to call them for a proof of delivery!

A package dispatched on 20 Nov has still not arrived on 28 Nov. The retailer was assured that two deliveries had been attempted and cards left. This was untrue. I was assured by telephone yesterday (27th) that the package would be delivered that day and that the driver would ring to confirm. It was not, he did not. Today I am informed (Oh yes, I remember this one from yesterday!) that he had passed my area by the time he was contacted. The retailer has been informed and has indeed refunded the considerable sum I was charged for the privilege of using this service. I hope he will also ditch this courier and find someone more reliable. Is this the world's worst courier service?
