Brief business description
This historic 15th Century former Chantry House is now the home of outstanding food, a good selection of real ales, an extensive wine list and charming service. (Under new ownership since Sept 2005). We make everything ourselves inlcuding bread and pasta and have a kitchen garden where we grow some of our own vegetables and herbs. Produce is fresh, seasonal and locally sourced wherever possible. The White Hart provides a fantastic dining experience - whether inside sitting in the Great Hall, Minstrel's Gallery or one of the other characterful side rooms or outside on the patio terrace or lawned gardens.

Really Superb!
What a great experience...recommended recently by friends, we thought we would give the White Hart a second try (we had a bad experience several years ago and hadn't returned since) and we are so glad that we did. It is under new ownership and the young couple who have it now are amazing. Their enthusiasm for what they do is contagious! They have turned the place around and the food and service were both superb. What was really nice to see was that despite obviously becoming sucessful and busy, they still had a good local trade. We couldn't fault it in any way. Well done and keep up the good work!
