Took our countax mower in to be repaired, was told it would be two weeks, no phone call. As we have two mowers, left it with him. A whole year later we finally get the mower back after an £800 bill. The mower worked for two weeks, and then broke again, same problem. Left it with him again for repair under warranty, and in the meantime bought a new mower from somewhere else. Have been back to try and get the mower back and am told its buried at the back of the shed, and he is too busy to get it out. He has now said he won't repair it and wants it moved because it's a wreck. It wasn't before Mr Reeves got his hands on it. A rude man with appaling service, save yourself the hastle and expense, find someone else!!
Where to begin! This was a nightmare. We dropped off our mower to be serviced and all seemed fine. The assistant staff member was welcoming and friendly, and since we'd never used Reeves before, that seemed an encouraging start. I left my contact number on the understanding that the service would be a week to ten days. Two weeks later I'd heard nothing, so telephoned. I was told the mower was ready to collect. I made the lengthy drive to Chippy to pick it up, but wisely attempted to start the mower before loading it into the car. It wouldn't start. A quick once-over confirmed that the mower hadn't been touched. I wasn't best pleased, but the assistant apologised, and promised to get on with it straight away. Another week later, no call. I phoned, and said I'd come over the next day and collect it whatever. I was assured it would be ready. When I arrived this time I was met by the owner, Mr Reeves. He was surly and dismissive, and complained that he was "too busy" and didn't want to have to deal with customers who expected their machinery serviced in under two weeks. Admittedly, the mower did start this time, but reluctantly, and the blade did not appear to have been sharpened. The bill came to over £75. Once home, the mower struggled to continue working for about a month, but was so difficult to start that my wife couldn't manage. We gave up, and took it to another company in Banbury, who expressed their opinion that nothing had been done to the mower at all by Reeves, save perhaps clean the sparking plug. I certainly couldn't recommend this company.
