• Amazing service!!!!!! A*********

  Well Busby and Lucas really do great things to show that the small Business really does have to stay!!! They give friendly, personal service and when you call you actually get through to a knowledgable person who can give you advice no going through 10 different options to then end up speaking to ...yes you guessed it a computer. They offer precise delivery times so no waiting in all day for them not to turn up. They will repair and not just right off your appliance. Their prices are really competitive and even if they are a little more expensive the after care service is second to none. Don't know what the other negative comments are on about. Mr Lucas with the tash is fantastic and an outstanding advocate for Busby and Lucas. Thank you we will be back.

• Dishwasher

  We bought a reconditioned dishwasher before Xmas 2010 Paid a good price and they delivered it the next day. Unfortunately it wasn’t washing very well, and contacted them, they came out the same day and replaced the top draw. However thinks still were not right, so after Xmas we called again. Great response, came out straight away. This time there was no messing they took it away and after 2 days returned it fully working. It’s been fantastic ever since. For us they have been a nothing but an excellent company, glad we have them local.

• Painful

  I have never encountered such a painful experience for a simple washing machine installation. No one told us when they were arriving, but anyway the washing machine turned up and was put in which was great; although it wasn't tested which i presumed would be standard with any new installation of any kind. We found the machine to be faulty which i suppose is not their fault, but never the less it could / should have been checked. The following day i had to ring up 4 times and speak to the same rude and utterly unhelpful customer services person who eventually gave in and grudgingly sent round someone to look at it late that afternoon, having told me that he was pretty sure there couldn't be a problem as they 'check all machines'. The machine was diagnosed as faulty and we were told that a new machine would turn up the following day - no apology either. The following day i called again in the afternoon to find out when our replacement would arrive as we'd not heard anything - sadly i got the boss of the company who after having been extremely rude, arrogant and dismissive, hung up on me when i told him what an unprofessional service i'd had from them - this seems to be the standard set from the top. Another machine was delivered 2 days later and installed. This then leaked everywhere as someone couldn’t fix a pipe to the back of the machine which I thought even the complete novice plumer might have been able to complete. Sadly there is no alternative in Witney for such jobs - if there is anyone reading this who is looking for similar work in the area, i would highly recommend moving as there is a huge abyss in the market for an efficient, helpful, quick, thorough and polite team. I could go on as this was not my first encounter but i think you should be convinced by now. If anyone from the company is reading this we are still awaiting an apology of sorts or failing that, even an acknowledgement that you were perhaps embarrassed with the sevice we received on this occasion and you hope it wouldn’t happen again.

• Service and Prices

  Excellent service at all times especially the man with the tash!! Find him extremely knowledgable and helpful. Always come out when they say they will and will go to the ends of the earth to help. Precise delivery times given which is excellent. Will also try and price match for you. All aspects excellent in my opinion. Unlike the persons comments above I find they are always ready to repair and willtake away your old appliance for you for a small fee. I always try and support my local retailer and will definately continue to give Busby & Lucas my custom!

• Outstanding Service

  We but all our household electrical equipment and spares from Busby and Lucas. Their service is outstanding. You can rely on knowledgable and unbiased advice. All the staff we had contact have been both professional and friendly. Deivery is effective and efficient and to suit the customer! And their prices are competitive!

• Busby & Lucas - Dreadful Service

  I contacted Busby & Lucas in December regarding repair work to my oven. I was told by one person that they would come out later that day. When I phoned up later that day to find out if anyone was coming, another person informed me that they did not have the part, so they said they ordered it and it would be sent urgently overnight. A week later and many phone calls chasing them, I was told that they would come on a particular morning but not surprisingly they did not turn up. When I phoned up, I was NOT given any apology and was told that their people were busy and because the person I spoke to had been on holiday he was blaming the other people. Clearly they are not interested in repair work and people should not contact them unless of course you can afford to wait a long time. I made another call to a different company and that person was at my house repairing the oven within an hour of my phone call. I wouldn't touch Busby and Lucas with a barge pole!

• Busby & Lucas....

  I found without doubt, Busby & Lucas to be incredibly bad at after care service. We thought, moving to Witney, we'd try & keep the beautifulmarket town alive with trade by using small, local retailers. We paid over the odds, for a mediocre fridge, which when it was delivered had a broken seal. It then took SIX visits to the shop by us & SIX weeks for them to walk to 100 yards to our house to fix it by which point there was an iceberg which could sink any ship formed in the back of the fridge...we hope that iceberg moves up Corn Street & sinks the ship that is Busby & Lucas. Appalling service, dont use them!

• Service and price

  For many years, we have bought most of our domestic appliances from Busby & Lucas. They give good advice on the technical aspects the products they sell. They once lent us a fridge for a few days while awaiting delivery of the exact model that would suit us best. Their prices are remarkably competitive with major chains and even internet retailers, but the big advantage of Busby & Lucas is that they can offer really precise delivery times. Other shops make you wait until a specific day for delivery in the area and can't even confirm if they'll deliver morning or afternoon. Busby & Lucas will arrange a precise delivery time and keep to it, so the customer isn't kept waiting unnecessarily. Then they install carefully and take away the old machine without fuss. That's the advantage of buying from a local retailer.
