Angelas taxi services based in Oxford is by far the worst service I have ever received from a company. I would definitely not recommend them. When I originally made the booking over the phone on 23rd April 2014, Angela was incredibly bad tempered and snappy on the phone. However, I gave her the benefit of the doubt, assumed she was having a bad day and immediately emailed her the details of the booking including the price we had discussed. We were booking a bus for 28th June for 25 people taking us from a large house outside of Oxford and returning at 2am. She quoted us £200 for the return journey. Angela replied confirming the price and the booking and gave me the drivers name and number. I asked if I needed to pay now and she told me I could pay the driver the cash on the night. On Thursday 26th June I called up Angela to confirm the booking. She was incredibly snappy and barked at me down the phone – as if I was asking something incredibly unreasonable – and told me ‘of course your booking is confirmed’ and slammed the phone down on me. I was pretty angry that she was so rude but I was incredibly polite to her in response. On the night, the driver was supposed to arrive at 9.30pm. By 9.45pm he has still not arrived. I called him and he did not have any of my details and was just about to pick up another group. He suggested I called the main office. I called the office and spoke to Angela. She again snapped down the phone at me and told me that she would sort it out. I asked if she would be able to provide a replacement bus and she repeated that she would ‘sort it out’ and said that she would send someone soon. I explained that we needed to be somewhere (we had a booking at a club for my friends hen do and we needed to be in before a certain time in order to not have to repay for entry) and asked if I could have a more specific time. She snapped down that phone that she said she would send someone soon – probably within 15 minutes – and she hung up on me. The bus arrived after 20 minutes. I had the cash to pay the driver but was locking up the house. The driver wouldn’t let anyone even get on the bus before I handed over the cash. I went to speak to him and he explained that he wasn’t from Angela’s Taxi’s and he didn’t know who would be picking us up from Oxford. I said I would give him half the money – so £100 – for the outward journey and then pay the remaining £100 to whoever picked us up. He said that was fine. Then Angela called him and he said that she wouldn’t send anyone to pick us up unless I paid a deposit. I asked to speak to Angela. Angela (again!) barked down the phone at me and said that she wasn’t willing to help or send a bus to pick us up unless I paid a deposit – either to her or to the new driver. I explained (incredibly polity and incredibly calmly - which is impressive given how furious I was by this point!) that the bus we were in was not her company, it was 45 minutes late, and I had specifically asked if I could pay a deposit back in April and she said no. She literally shouted at me down the phone and told me that if I didn’t pay then she wouldn’t help. I (again, calmly) explained that I had handed over £100 with no question to the driver and had the rest of the money with me but was not willing to pay a deposit on the night given how late the booking was and how I had offered to pay before. She again shouted down the phone at me about wanting a deposit and then hung up on me. The driver said that Angela was always a bit stroppy but that he could take the deposit. I asked how that would work as he had said that he worked in a separate company to Angela and was just ‘doing her a favour.’ I asked if he could give us a receipt and he said ‘he could write it on a bit of paper.’ Based on this incredibly poor customer service we booked 3 cabs to pick us up and drive us home. I have never been spoken to so badly by someone in customer service before. I was completely shocked and horrified that someone can be that rude so consistently and completely unprovoked. I am not the kind of person who usually bothers to write reviews but this was so incredibly bad that I really felt the need to share this with people. For Angela’s information – I very much hope you read this and I am going to post this on a many review sites as possible.

Disgraceful service. Booked an 8 seater 2 weeks in advance for return trip. Confirmed arrangements on the day. First taxi 15 minutes late after driver failed to turn up. Driver almost crashed into on-coming car.On the return from very rural location, taxi didn't show up. After 15 minutes, I phoned to be told there was no 8 seater availalable. A taxi from another company came after I insisted we wanted this sorted out. He said his company had been phoned an hour before our pick-up time to see if they'd take it on, but he couldn't at that time. Therefore Angela's knew about this for over an hour before but did nothing to solve it.Disgusting service - spread the word - I will.

Angela is extremely rude. As a company we had booked several journeys with Angela's taxis and thought all was well, when one morning we called her asking where our vehicle was. Her response was that it wasn't coming because she 'couldn't be bothered' amongst other things. I think that this is an appalling way to speak to any customer, let alone a customer offering regular corporate work. She was just plain rude and the way she spoke to our staff was disgusting. Stay away.

Booked to meet me at airport at short notice, and was there waiting when i got out, carried my bags, lovely clean car and friendly driver, competitive price too. Number saved in my phone now.

Quote £40 for a cab, tried to charge £65 when they turned up ..... don't seem to understand the implications of the word QUOTE , ruined an otherwise lovely wedding anniversary.... , never going to use them again, and will actively advise against their use.... I used to drive cabs, with both a hackney and private hire licence, this lot are scum .

Lying cheating gits..... quote £40 for a job to secure the booking earlier in the day, then try charging £65 when they turn up , don't seem to understand the Implications of the word QUOTE, won't EVER use again, and will ACTIVELY recommend AGAINST them from now on.

on the 15-06-12 i ordered a taxi to go from my place of work for 3pm the driver stated that he will be on time. i was waiting outside in the cold for 20mins before he even turned up. i asked him qhy he was so late and i had no reply i thn told him i was waiting in the cold for 20mins. his reply was " its 8 degrees man watt you chatting". by that i was affended. we then turnt up at my home which is a caravan park he said " do i have to drive in their". i am a paying customer and you will drop me where i ask and nowhere else thank you. he went past the turning reversed back and hit the curb 3 times. he also had headphones in wilst driving... this driver is very very rude and i can assure you that i will never be using angleas ever again. i am not being spoken to like i am a london chav. RUBBISH SERVICE ALLWAYS LATE AND VERY VERY RUDE DRIVER..........

Really dissappointed - organised pick up from Gatwick for relatives. Extremely rude driver, told us that if we didn't like the service we should go and do the pick up oursleves. Made us pay extra when driver droped them off, conpensation promised but 4 weeks on no sight of it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I was stuck in Charlbury unable to get back to my mothers house in Witney. I called Angela and she sent a driver to rescue me despite the weather conditions. I was most impressed as the roads were so bad, i honestly didnt expect to get home safely.

As the other reviews are so old then this firm must have declined. DO NOT USE THIS TAXI FIRM. I booked a taxi minibus 2 months in advance but on the night I discovered it had not been booked even though Angela's clearly uneducated employee had called me to confirm but she did not make a note of the day or the time(not sure what she quoted me on?) Instead of being apologetic the woman was not only rude to me saying it was my fault not hers for not writing down the details she then put the phone receiver down and started swearing about me so I could hear.The result 14 people had to miss a xmas pre-booked meal!! A very expensive waste of an evening.

My (EX) boyfriend left me in Oxford without any money, I phoned Angelas and asked her if she could pick me up and I would pay her back the next day. Within 20 minutes I was safe in a nice warm car with a woman driver...........Thank you Angie

I used Angela's 16-seater Mini-bus for moving guests around for my daughter's wedding between Witney, Clanfield & Abingdon. I found her extremely helpful on the telephone and the mini-bus was comfortable, very clean and looked like new. The driver was very patient and the cost was by far the best around. Everything about this service was excellent!! I would definitely use them again if needed!!
